Even when a home improvement contract is as detailed as
New Jersey law requires, disagreements between homeowners and their contractor can still arise in the course of construction.
If the contract fails to measure up to the dictates of the law,
the contractor may have no right to enforce it, and will very likely be on the defending end of a consumer fraud counterclaim if he tries. This presentation gives the contractor - including those working in the licensed trades - the basics for compliance with the laws that govern home improvement.
