NATIONAL MEMBERSHIP DAY
What is National Membership Day? For starters, it's an event you don't want to miss. It is the most visible event of the year for membership growth. It is a nationwide campaign that is executed at the local level and celebrated and supported at the state and national levels.
National Membership Day is held in the spring of each year. Local associations, like ours, begin planning their initiatives many months in advance. Some local associations comparable in size even compete and jockey for placement.
NAHB supports local associations who choose to participate in National Membership Day by providing:
(1) Double Spike credits during the month of National Membership Day (this year, May)
(2) A giveaway for all members who recruit 3+ new members during that month
(3) A variety of competitions and recognition opportunities for individuals and associations and
(4) A 3-hour live Webcast freaturing interesting interviews, special segments on trends that impact membership, and of course the real time numbers as they are called in from HBAs across the nation.
When is National Membership Day? Tuesday, May 22, 2007
What we need to do? Organize our member-get-a-member campaign to recruit as many new members as our association can serve during the month of May. Start by preparing our members to go out there and make contact with prospects by helping them know what to say about membership in our association
